Prof. Daniel Burgos

Speech Title:- “Artificial Intelligence & Education. Integration with Society and Sustainability models”
Daniel Burgos works as President of MIU City University Miami (USA) and as Vice-rector for International Research, Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR, Spain). He is the UNESCO Chair on eLearning, and the Director of the Research Institute for Innovation & Technology in Education (UNIR iTED). He has implemented +85 worldwide R&D projects and published +270 scientific papers, 60 books and special issues, and 12 patents. He holds 14 Doctorate and PhD degrees, including Computer Science, Psychology, and Education. He is a visiting professor at universities in the five continents (e.g., CIT Research Center, China; INTI International University, Malaysia; Northwest University, South Africa). He works as a consultant for the United Nations (UNECE), the University of the United Nations (UNU-Flores), ICESCO, and the European Commission. His interests are mainly focused on Educational Technology & Innovation, Personalised and Informal eLearning, Learning Analytics & AI in Education, Open Education & Science, eGames, and eLearning Specifications. Prof. Dr. Şirin Karadeniz Oran
Speech Title: “From Co-Creation to Transformation: Interdisciplinary Learning and Purposeful Tech Integration.”
Prof. Dr. Şirin Karadeniz Oran is a distinguished leader in education with over 25 years of experience driving innovation, digital transformation, and research-based practice in global learning systems. She currently serves as the Advisor to the President at Doğuş University (DOU) and previously held the prestigious role of President of Bahçeşehir University (BAU), where she led major institutional modernization efforts and advanced international academic partnerships.
A prominent expert in technology-enhanced education, curriculum innovation, and future-focused learning models, Prof. Dr. Karadeniz Oran has contributed to and coordinated influential international projects with the EU, World Bank, UNICEF, and TÜBİTAK. Her work has focused on digital inclusion, STEM and coding curricula, educational equity for refugee communities, and the development of virtual and smart learning environments—key areas aligned with the vision of Future Edu 2026.
Throughout her career, she has held several high-impact academic leadership positions, including Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Vice Director of the Institute of Educational Sciences, and Chair of Computer Education & Instructional Technologies at BAU. She also serves as the President of the Scientific Board for the Harezmi Educational Model, a national initiative shaping Türkiye’s future-ready education strategy.
Prof. Dr. Karadeniz Oran has been widely recognized for her contributions, including being named Woman Educator of the Year by Microsoft and the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Türkiye (2016), and receiving multiple awards for research excellence and community impact.
A visionary in educational technology and transformative pedagogy, she continues to champion inclusive, innovative, and future-oriented learning ecosystems, making her an invaluable contributor to the mission of Future Edu 2026.
Professor Shane Dawson
Shane Dawson is the Pro Vice Chancellor for the College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences and Professor of Learning Analytics at Adelaide University, Australia. Shane’s research focuses on topics ranging from creative capacity to social network analysis and the application of learner ICT interaction data to inform and benchmark teaching and learning quality. His current research interests relate to complex systems and academic leadership to aid adoption and application of AI in education.
Shane is a founding executive member of the Society for Learning Analytics Research, noted keynote presenter, program and conference chair of the International Learning Analytics and Knowledge conference and an inaugural co-editor of the Journal for Learning Analytics. With the support of many talented colleagues, Shane has been involved in the development of numerous open source software including the Online Video Annotations for Learning (OVAL), OnTask (a personalized learner feedback tool), and SNAPP, a social network visualization tool designed for teaching staff to better understand, identify and evaluate student learning, engagement, academic performance and creative capacity.
Prof. Bart Rienties
Dr. Bart Rienties is Professor of Learning Analytics and Director of the Institute of Educational Technology (IET) at The Open University (OU), UK. Since its establishment in 1970, IET has been a core contributor to the University’s global leadership in the research, innovation, and delivery of supported open and distance learning. An educational psychologist by training, Dr. Rienties specialises in interdisciplinary research on work-based and collaborative learning, with a strong focus on the role of social interaction in shaping learning processes. His expertise spans Learning Analytics, Learning Design, learner motivation, and the internationalisation of higher education.
Dr. Rienties has led numerous institutional, national, and European research initiatives, and currently directs the £5M ESRC Research Capacity Hub. His contributions to educational innovation have been recognised through multiple national and international awards. He also serves as President of the Society of Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR), the world’s largest research community dedicated to advancing learning analytics.
With more than 300 scholarly publications, Dr. Rienties is widely regarded as a leading global authority in education and learning technologies. He is ranked as the most published and cited author in learning design and learning analytics (2014–2023), and is consistently listed among the top contributors internationally across fields such as learning analytics (2004–2024), networks in education, social network analysis, educational technology, internationalisation of higher education, and business intelligence in education. His impact is further reflected in global assessments, including Research.com, where he is ranked nationally at 356 and globally at 1985 in Social Sciences and Humanities. He is also recognised in the World’s Top 2% Scientists, ranking 43,364 worldwide and 507 in the field of Education.

As Dean (Academic) at Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women’s University, Jaipur, Dr. Gupta has published extensively, delivered keynote speeches worldwide, and mentored doctoral research in technology-driven learning. His recognition includes the World Top Scientist Award 2024, 40 registered patents in emerging technologies, and his role as a NAAC Assessor for the Government of India, ensuring quality in higher education.
